1972 2/5 Established Moogungwha Hakwon at Dongji Hoegwan
1976 9 Changed name to “Southern California Korean School”(Reopened school on February 5th)
1978 9 San Fernando Valley Saturday Korean School opened
Hangul textbook first published
1979 2 South Bay Saturday Korean School opened
  5 Obtained State Approval as a Non-profit Organization
  8 Made School’s Song 
1980 2 Revised By-Laws; Renamed the branch school, established Superintendent ship
  3 Sister-school contract with Seoul Soogeui  
1981 12 Changed name to the “Korean Institute of Southern California”(the articles of association are modified)
1982 4 School’s 10th Anniversary Celebration
1983 6 Held 10th Art Festival for School Building Fund Raising

1984 2 Purchased School Site and Building at 4900 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA
